- Eat a meal before your appointment since you’ll need to avoid eating for two hours afterward.
- Tooth gems can only be applied to natural teeth—they won’t adhere to crowns or veneers.
- Bring inspiration photos if you have a specific design in mind.
Tooth Gem Aftercare
The first 24 hours are the most important while the adhesive fully cures.
For the best results:
- Avoid touching or playing with your tooth gem.
- Wait at least two hours before eating.
- Avoid brushing the gemmed tooth for the first brushing after your appointment.
- Skip electric toothbrushes for 72 hours.
- Eat soft foods during the first 24 hours.
- Never use your teeth to open packages or wrappers.
